Plastic Bending-Shear Load-Carrying Capacity of Hybrid I Cross-Sections
Original language description
The paper contains original theoretical analysis of the bending-shear load-carrying capacity of typical I cross-sections. They are combined from different steels where flangs are from higher strenght steels and web is from middle steel. The homogenous cross-section represents only limit case of the universal cross-section. The ultimate plastic stage is here considered as the perfect plasticization of the web cross-section. In accordance with reflected assumptions the theoretical equations for calculation of the ultimate sheer load V-u, (M) and the ultimate bending moment M-u, (v) for the hybrid and homogenous I cross-sections were derived. Based on the numerical study interaction formula has been suggested for practic calculation. This formula is formally compared with the adequate interaction formula that results from European Standart EN 1993-1-1:2005.
