Comparison of Organisational Structures of Selected Passenger Railway Transport Companies and their Impact on Strategic Goals of Companies
Original language description
Establishing a suitable organisational structure is an essential condition for successful implementation of a corporate strategy. According to contemporary strategists, strategy and structure are interconnected and they should be developed in parallel. There is no final organisational structure of a company. Based on theories on organisational structure of enterprises and on research of organisational structures of selected transport companies providing rail passenger transport, it has been shown that a suitable organisational structure is of utmost importance for implementation of the approved strategy in a company. In times of liberalisation and growing competition, effective organisational strategy is becoming a significant competitive advantage for a rail passenger transport company.
