On Fundamentals of Quantum Computation with Applications in Transport and Logistics
Original language description
The paper deals with the possibilities of using quantum computers, especially in transport and logistics problems. The use of quantum computers is penetrating more and more into different fields. This is mainly because their computing capabilities are more extensive compared to classic computers. Quantum computers differ from classical computers in that they use quantum bits or qubits that enable calculations based on quantum phenomena. The processes of computing run simultaneously. This fact means that the quantum computers make it possible to work with large data and its process computationally demanding problems. A typical example where the computational complexity increases significantly with each added location is for example the traveling salesman problem. Applications of quantum computing in various areas, especially in the field of logistics and transport, automotive are presented in the paper.
