    Abstracts of the presentations for the young scientists and professionals award: Fast neutron dosemeter using pixelated detector Timepix

  • Original language description

    Possibilities of use of the pixelated detector Timepix covered with a set of polyethylene convertors of different thicknesses for purposes of measuring ambient dose equivalent in fast neutron fields of unknown spectra are presented in the paper. Dose reconstruction is based on evaluation of responses measured for particular convertors. The dosemeter was calibrated for monoenergetic neutrons in the energy of 0.4–16.5 MeV. Results of the pilot experiment proved the potential use of the designed dosemeter for fast neutron dosimetry. Presented at journal "Radiation Protection Dosimetry" as Technical Note.
