Simulations of decontamination scenarios using the system dynamics approach
Original language description
This paper is dedicated to creation of a complex mathematical model for decision-making purposes in case of a radiation/nuclear accident. In order to propose the model allowing to simulate and compare decontamination scenarios, the System dynamics methods were used. Costs and benefits of each scenario were estimated within simulations in the Vensim software. Costs were subsequently compared with the Fukushima clean-up experience. Published at 5th NERIS Workshop Proceedings – Key challenges in the preparedness, response and recovery phase of a nuclear or radiological emergency (3-5 April 2019) – Proceedings.
