Response of Current Environmental Dosemeters to New Operational Quantities
Original language description
ICRU released the revision of the concept of operational quantities for external radiation, where new quantities are defined. As this change influences the performance of currently used devices, dosemeters were tested in laboratory. As regards relevant photon energies for ambient monitoring, there was no evident qualitative difference in performance of dosemeters with respect to the new and old quantities. Therefore, the response could be adapted using a single factor specific for every dosemeter. Presented at the 5th European Radiation Protection Week, Vienna, 22-24 November 2021: Book of Abstracts.
