On the applicability of the IAEA documentation to innovative reactors
Original language description
Novel reactor installations are expected to pose new challenges on the current licensing process. The first step for building a more homogeneous and comprehensive licensing framework is to identify the safety-related needs for innovative nuclear installations. To this end, within the HARMONISE project a review is foreseen on the specificities associated with innovative reactor technologies together with an in-depth analysis of ALFRED and DEMO, as representatives of the fission and fusion concepts, respectively.
