Original language description
The radiometric 10Be exposure age method was applied to surface of crystalline rocks and Late Quaternary sediments in the Obří důl and the Labský důl Valleys. Geomorphological evidence combined with 10Be dating shows that deglaciation of the Giant Mountains occurred between (23.2 ? 3.8) (10Be) ka and (8.0 ? 1.5) (10Be) ka. Permanent ice and firn fields were still present in the upper parts of cirques and on high plateaus up to around 3 ? 4 thousand years ago.

Czech description
Metoda 10Be byla použita na datování skalních povrchů v Obřím dole a Labském dole. Předběžné výsledky datování a geomorfologického výzkumu vymezují ústup krkonošských ledovců na období před 23.2+/-3.8 a 8.0+/-1.5 tisíci (10Be) let. Trvalé sněžníky a firnoviska přetrvaly v nejvyšších částech karů a vrcholových plošin do doby před 3 až 4 tisíci let.
