The Innovations Improving Fire Services at Airports
Original language description
It is no doubt that airplane accidents and incidents at airports or surroundings, are very often accompanied by an explosion and fire. Different types of fire might require to use different, but always appropriate, fire extinguishers and agents. Some device to control a fire used years ago, could be found ineffective now. Today, a lot of manufacturers are entering markets with airport buildings construction materials which are less flammable then it was years ago. Certainly, a plenty of innovations in a production of firefighting extinguishers show progress and more effectivity too. In this paper, we bring some short overview on latest technological improvements used in the fire services. In our paper, we deal with four significant firefighting inventions. Namely they are: Cold Fire Extinguisher, Sonic Fire Extinguisher, Drones and Thermal Imaging Camera. The study describes their characteristics and specifics in the firefighting operations. Our intention was to introduce some firefighting devices which are easily and effectively used at accidents happening either at an airport or other parts of a country.
