Optimal Processing of Natural-Fibre Nonwovens
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The presented work deals with the utilization of natural fibres in environmentally friendly composite materials. Natural fibre composites can be utilized in many industries, for example in the automotive, construction, marine, acoustic and electronic applications industries. Some natural fibres are cheaper than conventional synthetic fibres, and since they have the potential to be recycled and are eco-friendly through their biodegradability, renewability and lower energy consumption from fibre growing into finished products, they also find application due to these added advantages. The book is describing a possibility of natural-fibre composite manufacturing from nonwovens and different nonwoven fabrication processes are described. In practical part of the research nonwovens were produced by air-laying technology from hemp and flax fibres. Laboratory spike air-laying machine was used for fibre web production and needle-punching machine was used for fibre web reinforcement. Produced nonwovens reached
