Imaging spin textures in magnetic nanostructures

Project goals

The aim of the project is to establish a Czech-Bavarian expert research consortium on dealing with magnetic nanostructures. Scientific part of the project is aimed to imaging nanoscale spin textures with different magnetic imaging techniques. Magnetic votices, antivortices and skyrmions will be observed by Lorentz Transmission Electron Microscopy and Scanning Magnetorezistive Microscopy. An inherent goal is also to establish a joint training and educational platform for master and PhD students as well as for early stage researchers from both Bavaria and Czech Republic on this highly societally relevant and important topic.

  • Annotation in Czech

Magnetické vortexy, antivortexy a skyrmiony budou pozorovány pomocí Lorentzovy transmisní elektronové mikroskopie a rastrovací magnetorezistivní mikroskopie. Dalším cílem je vytvoření vzdělávací platformy v oblasti nanomagnetismu pro studenty magisterského a doktorského studia, stejně jako pro začínající výzkumné pracovníky z Bavorska a České republiky.

The project was implemented within the framework of Czech-Bavarian cooperation in R&D, the main goal of which was to promoting the development of cross-border cooperation, contributing to scientific progress in the Czech Republic and the Free State of Bavaria through the funding of joint projects. The control of particular outputs is not implemented by the evalution committee, but the correctness of allocated finances and the adequacy of their use are checked.
