Predictive Control System for Stability Improvement and Higher Efficiency of Power Plants
Project goals
The project objective is to develop a model predictive control system suitable for coal fired power plants. This system will work as an add-on to plant automation system and it will achieve significant reduction of variations of important plant variables, in particular reduction of variations of main steam and reheated steam temperatures. Thus, it will be possible to operate the plant closer to its limits and to achieve improved energy efficiency, reduced operation costs and reduced emissions.

Project name in Czech
Prediktivní řídicí systém pro zlepšení stability a zvýšení účinnosti elektrárenských bloků
Annotation in Czech
Projekt je zaměřen na výzkum a vývoj prediktivního řídicího systému. Ten bude fungovat jako nadstavba běžného automatizačního systému uhelné elektrárny a umožní podstatně zpřesnit regulaci a snížit kolísání důležitých veličin bloku, zejména pak teplot admisní a přihřáté páry. To umožní plnější využití možností technologie a zvýšení účinnosti bloku a tedy i zvýšení efektivnosti využití paliva a snížení provozních nákladů.
