The overall goal of RUBBEX project is the development of a mathematical model describing the flow of uncured rubber blend in the extrusion heads used in the production of tyre beads, namely in single-wire rubberising cross-heads and multi-wire rubberising cross-heads. COMPUPLAST INTERNATIONAL a.s. will be responsible for the mathematical modelling of rubber flow in typal / generalised rubberising heads and extrusion systems and the optimisation of the geometry of rubberising heads and extrusion systems.

Project results evaluation
The project has been succesfuly finished. We helped our partner VIPO a.s. to optimize the process and improve their competitiveness. We significantly inovated our software – we have added new matematical models and new features (such as slip on the wall, parametrical entering of geometry in 3D FEM module, new boundary conditions and other features important for rubber extrusion die designers).
