  • Annotation in Czech

The overall objective of the project is not only an improvement of quality of follow-up postnatal care for babies at risk but, first of all, the point is an improvement of their quality of life. The expected result will be marked health improvement and social integration of those children and decrease of demands on the social, health and financial systems. By this research project we hope to participate in creating guidelines for diagnostics and treatment of infants with perinatal burden by: 1. Evaluation of the gastroesophageal reflux (GER) in symptomatic infants by different methods and comparing the methods. 2. Evaluation of the role of diet on symptoms (hyperexcitability, GER, food intolerance, overfeeding and the risk of metabolic syndrome) 3. Evaluation of the neurological status by neurological clinical examination of children from the newborn period till 20th week of age. 4. Evaluation of the pulmonary function in infants with bronchopulmonar dysplasia (using Baby-bodypletysmography). 5
