1)To develop an assay to specifically identify bacterial pathogens in a simple and sensitive way, applicable in LMIC, using LAMP 2) To clinically implement the MBS and LAMP-based detection in a hospital setting in Tanzania and to test the feasibility of using this diagnostic tool to monitor the treatment effect (antibiotic sensitivity) by repeated measurement.
