    Today’s key technologies are based on the analysis of digitally-modulated signals, used to describe, distribute and process information. For a common understanding of such signals, IEC TC 85 has developed standards on the measurement and calculation of waveform parameters and the corresponding uncertainties. However, novel sophisticated applications require extension of the existing standards to cover full waveforms instead of waveform parameters only. This project will develop methods for the calculation of sample-by-sample waveform uncertainties, give examples and guidelines for the correction and reconstruction of waveforms, disseminate efficient algorithms for the data processing and deliver its results to IEC TC 85. Thereby fostering technology and product advancement in many industries such as ICT and power grid management.
