    Cílem řešení projektu je identifikace typické mikrobiologické kontaminace fotografických pozitivů, negativů a kinematografických filmů s důrazem na výskyt bakterií jako potenciálně největšího nebezpečí pro tento druh kulturního dědictví. Pozornost bude zaměřena na využití a ověření metod isolace bakterií, plísní a kvasinek s minimálním rizikem pro fotografickou či filmovou světlocitlivou vrstvu, jejich identifikaci jak klasickými, tak i moderními metodami, účinné dezinfekční prostředky bez negativního účinku na dezinfikovaný materiál a resistenci mikroorganismů vůči těmto látkám.

    The project successfully identified microbiological contamination in photographic materials and films, specifically focusing on the presence of bacteria. It developed and validated methods for isolating bacteria, molds, and yeasts without compromising the integrity of the photosensitive or film emulsion layer. Various conventional and modern techniques were used to identify these microorganisms, and effective disinfectants were selected that did not harm the materials or compromise the resistance of the microorganisms. All objectives of the project were fulfilled. Four methodologies for sampling and isolating bacteria, yeasts, and molds from photographic materials were developed and approved by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. Additionally, optimized methods for disinfecting photographic and film materials with gelatin, albumin, and collodion photosensitive layers were established.
