Project name in Czech
Pokročilá příprava funkčních materiálů: Od mono k bi- a tri-chromatické excitaci s použitím tvarovaných laserových pulsů
Annotation in Czech
Projekt si klade za cíl vytvoření nového výzkumné týmu v oblasti pokročilého navrhování funkčních materiálů. Široký rozsah vybavení projektu (zejména lasery) umožní rovněž zahájení procesu výměny znalostí a školení s partnery z oblasti průmyslu v dlouhodobém časovém horizontu.

Project results evaluation
During the project, there was formed a team of scientists, which built a modern laser application laboratory, the equipment of which was selected with regard to the planned tasks. The project research was carried out in the planned scope and dealt with areas including, e.g. the development of surfaces with new properties for further use in science and industry, the investigation of the effect of extreme conditions on matter, the development of new nanostructured materials or controlled microstructuring of bulk semiconductors, etc. All members of the project team have substantially increased their qualifications, enabling some of them to obtain positions in prestigious research organisations such as Ecole Polytechnique and SpacePwr (Edinburgh, UK). The core team is continuing its research at the HiLASE Centre of the Institute of Physics CAS. Thanks to the opportunity provided by the project, the team has established a solid background for future successful research work.
