Hlavní náplní projektu je modernizace stávající výzkumné infrastruktury a přeměna pracoviště v špičkové centrum excelence evropského významu. Projekt je realizován v úzké spolupráci s prestižní mezinárodní výzkumnou institucí STFC z Velké Británie. Rozsáhlé znalosti a zkušenosti partnera významně přispějí k zajištění efektivního fungováni budoucího centra excelence. Nový inovační program je nezbytným předpokladem pro udržitelnost centra a také pro rozvoj regionu.

"The project has achieved its objectives by modernising the HiLASE centre, i.e. in particular: - ensured high quality technology transfer to users; - created strong knowledge institutions capable of stimulating innovation and growth at regional, national and international level; - become, in line with the Smart Specialisation Strategy, an internationally competitive research centre capable of contributing to the further development of key knowledge areas within the framework of the Czech Republic's Smart Specialisation; - maintained and developed the international mobility of researchers; - positively influenced the development of the region; - raised the visibility of the centre at international level and thus increased the prestige of Czech R&D in the world; - ensured the sustainability of the Centre; - helped with talent search and development of new educational programmes for technically qualified students."
