Cílem tohoto projektu je vyvinout moderní diagnostickou metodu pro diferenciální diagnostiku kardiomyopatií spojenou s kardiotoxicitou cytostatik u onkologických pacientů založenou na molekulárně-genetických přístupech (Two tailed PCR, NGS). Principem je měření panelu specifických microRNA metodou Two-tailed PCR v kombinaci s identifikací jednonukleotidových polymorfismů (single nucleotide polymorfism, SNP) ve vybraných genech pomocí metody NGS.

Project results evaluation
The project fulfilled the set goal and achieved both planned results, which were a prototype of a diagnostic kit and a utility model. Top experts from the fields of molecular biology, cardiology, oncology and laboratory medicine were involved in the project. The submitted implementation plan describes further steps for validation in independent cohorts and subsequent movement towards market application. Overall, the project demonstrates a high methodological level and a direct connection to the clinical need for differential diagnostics of cardiotoxicity. The achieved results are at a good, but not excellent, level, therefore the opposing committee agreed that the project succeeded according to the assignment.
