Novel Endohedral Actinide Fullerenes and Their Characterisation. From Spectroscopy to Molecular Devices.

Project goals

The molecular guest-host materials have attracted a great attention of the scientific community for their amazing potential in practical applications, such as molecular recognition, drug delivery, and molecular devices. We aim at theoretical predictions and characterization of new molecular guest-host materials based on endohedral fullerenes. We propose studying of a new family of endohedral actinide fullerenes, their structure, dynamics, and molecular properties. We will characterize open-shell endohedral fullerenes by calculations and interpretation of paramagnetic NMR chemical shifts. We will study new endohedral fullerene precursors for molecular memory materials based on the principle of moving a neutral molecule with a dipole moment in a fullerene cage with help of electric field.

Navrhujeme charakterizovat endohedrální fullereny s otevřenou slupkou pomocí výpočtů a interpretace paramagnetických NMR spekter.
