    The research is focused on complex systems influenced by random noise. Three research areas are identified – processes whose complexity stems from intrinsic interactions such as coalescence or branching (e.g. Brownian net), processes whose intricacy is a result of highly non-linear dynamics of the system (e.g. stochastic total variation flow), and processes whose complicatedness arises from self-similarity and memory (e.g. fractional processes). In each area, pressing problems are identified and set for research. In the first, the properties of scaling limits of interacting particle systems and stochastic flows are studied and new models introduced. In the second, structural properties of non-linear models of vibration and wave propagation are investigated and stochastic image reconstruction techniques and numerical methods for their implementation are proposed. In the third, the research is focused on structural properties of various noise terms with fractal features and memory and on their effect when introduced to non-linear systems.
