    Constructed Technosols are essential for sustainable water management, as their hydraulic properties, particularly the soil water retention curve and hydraulic conductivity, significantly affect the performance of blue-green infrastructure (e.g., green roofs). Despite recent advances, reliably predicting these hydraulic properties from individual component characteristics remains challenging due to the complexity and variability of mixtures, especially when incorporating circular materials such as demolition waste and biochar. This project aims to clarify the relationship between the input materials' properties, mixture composition, and resulting hydraulic behavior. We will examine both fresh and matured Technosols subjected to environmental conditions, emphasizing the role of preferential flow paths developed due to interaggregate pores and biopores. By integrating laboratory tests, field experiments, non-invasive imaging techniques, and predictive modeling, the project seeks to establish a robust methodology for forecasting the hydraulic properties of constructed Technosols.
