Alternative language

  • Project name in Czech

    Funkční genomika dvoudomých rostlin

  • Annotation in Czech

Cílem projektu je strukturní a funkční analýza pohlavně vázaných genů u modelových dvoudomých rostlin Silene latifolia a Rumex acetosa. K dosažení tohoto cíle je mj. nutné zvládnout nové technologie genetické modulace studovaných genů. Během tří let plánovaného projektu budou identifikovány geny vázané na pohlavní chromosomy, vyvinuta metodika pro cílenou mutagenezi a umlčování studovaných genů. Tento projekt by měl zásadně přispět k objasnění funkce pohlavních drah u modelových dvoudomých rostlin.

The findings accomplished in previous stages, were integrated during the last year of the project. Thanks to our recent elaboration of transformation protocol, the CRISPR/Cas9 constructs were successfully delivered to plants and we isolated mutants in AP3 gene. Furthermore we successfully tested the possibility to employ the amiRNA and gene targeting methods in S. latifolia. In last year of the project, the fourth internship in laboratory of our foreign partner was carried out. During the whole period of the project, four publications were published in high impact journals (BMC Genomics, Genome Biology a Nature Plants).
