Project name in Czech
Sekundární metabolizmus a jeho regulace u Streptomyces ambofaciens
Annotation in Czech
S využitím klasických genetických a komplexních molekulárně biologických přístupů, studovat expresi a regulaci genů sekundárního metabolizmu u Streptomyces ambofaciens. Vedle analýzy tří známých shluků genů zodpovědných za syntézu sekundárních metabolitůu S. ambofaciens, budeme studovat též všechny ostatní shluky potenciálně zodpovědné za biosyntézu sekundárních metabolitů.

Project results evaluation
We prepared S. ambofaciens triple mutant with inactivated genes for the biosynthesis of antibiotics spiramycin, congocidine and alpomycin. We discovered another bioactive compound produced by this strain.
