The specific objective of this collaborative research is to collect and analyse information for a better understanding of the socioeconomic context of the two partner regions and their regional universities in order to provide an assessment of their respective RTD and innovation system. Expected results include a comprehensive data base will set up, the outcome of the research can be used as a benchmarking template for similar comparative researches assessing the regional innovation potential and framework policies in the new member states.

After theoretical part project continued in the form of field research in Olomouc and Pecs. Results were presented at international conferences and published in IF journals as well as in Hungarian Academy of Sciences journal.
