Regional development and public policy under creative economy: Mapping, knowledge sharing and management of New Working Spaces in the Czech Republic
Annotation in Czech
Terminologically conceptualize and map new working spaces in territory of the Czech Republic and then analyse knowledge sharing within these new working spaces, ways of their management in relation to gender and social inclusion, evaluate their economic performance, including identification of the tools for their public support in the context of creative economy and strategic and spatial planning of cities and regions. The following objectives have been set in breakdown to individual stages: E001 1) To set the terminology of NWS; 2) To carry out quantitative mapping of NWS in the Czech Republic, i.e. to identify NWS structure, spatial distribution at macro and micro level, and spatial patterns of localization and co-localization with creative and cultural industries and other amenities. E002 1) To discover, analyse, internationally compare, evaluate and conceptualise knowledge sharing and transfer both within NWS and across the local or regional business ecosystem, while discovering its impact on innovation performance as compared with micro enterprises of creative and cultural industries that not participating in the activities at NWS; 2) To identify, test and set indicators and ways to measure non-financial and financial economic performance of NWS; 3) To discover and conduct international comparisons of NWS management practices in relation to gender equality, along with NWS's impact on work-life balance and women’s social inclusion, to identify opportunities and barriers to women's participation in NWS. E003 1) To identify measures to support NWS in the context of regional innovation systems and smart governance of municipalities and regions in the Czech Republic and compare based on experience from other Cost Action member countries; 2) To identify, analyse, evaluate impacts, conceptualise case studies of NWS-led urban regeneration in the Czech Republic, and compare them with selected examples from other Cost Action member countries.

Project results evaluation
The project achieved its objectives, which had to consider the changes caused by the Covid-10 pandemic, both during and after the end of the countermeasures. Thus, the objectives of the project responded to the state of the new workspaces before and after the pandemic. The results of the project used state-of-the-art approaches and research methods, and were mainly aimed at comparing more EU countries, and were directed to prestigious professional publishers.
