Ultrasonografická elastografie (sonoelastografie) je relativně nová, rychle se rozvíjející oblast zobrazování umožňující neinvazivní měření tuhosti tkání. Cílem navrhovaného projektu je prokázat možnosti elastografie při zobrazování patologických procesů v oblasti hlavy a krku, popsat její limity a možné chyby. V případě kladného výsledku by elastografie mohla nahradit biopsie alespoň u některých typů patologických procesů. Plánujeme provést studie na fantomu, které zodpoví otázky, jež jsme zjistili při vyhodnocení naší dosavadní skupiny vyšetřených. Ke zjištění normálních hodnot elasticity štítné žlázy, lymfatický uzlin krku, slinných žláz a svalů krku provedeme sonoelastografické vyšetření nejméně 120 zdravých dobrovolníků. Ke stanové diagnostické přesnosti ultrasonografické elastografie v oblasti hlavy a krku provedeme srovnání elastografických a operačních nálezů u nejméně 350 pacientů s různými lézemi.

Project results evaluation
The project dealt mainly with the practical application of an advanced ultrasound method in the diagnosis of diseases of the head and neck. The process of the project corresponds to the original plan attached to the application and the drawing of approved funds was in accordance with the rules. The minimal transfers within chapters were fully justified. The fulfillment of most goals is documented by the publication of professional articles, of which a total of 4 (and one in the review procedure) in journals with an impact factor and according to the rules of AZV were exclusive dedications. The author's team also presented the results at domestic and international congresses. The presented results may have a real impact on other research projects in this area, especially the issue of normal stiffness values of tissues and organs.
