    The aim of the project was to develop a functional prototype of a simulated night vision system for L-159 aircraft simulators without the need to use real NVG goggles. This goal was achieved by developing a mock-up of night vision goggles, which included replacing the optical amplifiers by displays, implementing a head tracking system, developing software emulation of NVG displays, and integrating the mock-up into the existing cabins of the TL-159 and LS-159 simulators. Although some parameters of the functional prototype are not fully consistent with the real NVG system, it can be stated that the solution with a mock-up of NVG goggles is a clear benefit for training on L-159 simulators. Furthermore, the project showed that fully virtual and augmented reality technology can be effectively applied for selected tasks even in older simulation systems.
