Nová metoda konzervace genetických zdrojů ovocných rostlin

Tento projekt je zaměřen na výzkum kryoprezervace u širší kolekce ovocných plodin. Budou zkoumány zejména techniky enkapsulace a vitrfikace, kde jako výchozí materiál slouží in vitro kultury. Na základě výsledků těchto pokusů bude založena kryobanka s dlouhodobě uchovávaným materiálem většího počtu genotypů. S cílem zvýšení mrazuodolnosti budou in vitro rostliny předkultivovány na vyšších koncentracích sacharózy s následnou enkapsulací v alginátovém gelu. Tato metoda poskytuje větší výhody ve srovnání stradičními technikami kryoprezervace a vitrifikace zjednodušuje manipulaci s explantáty. Budou také zkoumány regenerační postupy a genetická stabilita. Tento projekt by měl zejména sloužit k dlouhodobému udržování genetických zdrojů v kontrolovaných a bezpečných podmínkách.
