Monitoring of impact of processes caused by geoturism on environment in Český ráj with proposal of tools for elimination of negative impacts
Project goals
The project is contributing to the solution of the following primary goal: "Propose the tools for the support of a sustainable sources exploitation." On the example of the geopark Český ráj the territorial differences in a tourist burden and its differentiated impacts on the environment are examined. The goal is to propose a set of concrete tools for the authorities and management of the area which will lead to the optimalisation of tourism intensity.

The results are significant in the field of an assessment of the impacts that tourist industry has on the ecosystems in the protected areas; the tourist loads as well as the resulting erosion and changes in vegetation have been monitored. The disparitiesin the exploitation of the area by tourist industry have been determined and the sustainability of the tourist loads has been evaluated.
