Critical revision of the past and recent plant distributions as an irreplaceable data source for efficient conservation of endangered species and monitoring of the spread of alien species

Kritická revize dřívějšího a současného rozšíření rostlin jako nenahraditelný zdroj dat pro efektivní ochranu ohrožených druhů a sledování šíření zavlečených druhů

Hlavním cílem projektu je vytvořit dosud nejpřesnější obraz o rozšíření přibližně 300 druhů rostlin, včetně druhů chráněných, ohrožených, nepůvodních a invazních, jako základní nástroj pro správné stanovení priorit v ochraně přírody a efektivní ochranu biodiverzity v činnosti Agentury ochrany přírody a krajiny České republiky (AOPK), správ národních parků (NP) a chráněných krajinných oblastí (CHKO). K dosažení cíle bude (1) provedena revize herbářů a získána a zpřístupněna unikátní, dosud nedostupná data, (2) kriticky posouzeny literární a databázové údaje a (3) připraveny tři sady specializovaných map jako součást odborných publikací a datová sada pro potřeby AOPK. Kritickou revizi provede tým zkušených taxonomických expertů ve spolupráci s odborníky z praxe.

Project results evaluation
Given the scope of the data (and especially their scientific correction and control equal to high quality), the project results were met as expected and within the declared planned scope with excellent results (3 published articles submitted to Jimp, Jsci), or above the scope of the assignment (occurrence database submitted to the AOPK CR, recommendations for monitoring / management / creation of a rescue program in the form of comments on the occurrence of individual species included in the Summary Research Report. The high social benefit and especially the long-term applicability of the results will be used for many years in the activities of the relevant state administration bodies in matters of nature conservation. The high quality of the data guaranteed by both the research department and individual experts / specialists for the given groups is unquestionable. The project is an example of excellent transfer of research results into the administrative practice of the OPK.
