Chapter 3 ? Non-linear Junction Detectors [Pilot Test: Detection and Neutralisation of Route Threats, RTO Technical Report (SCI-193 Task Group) (CD-ROM)]
Original language description
The Pilot Test was executed in October 2008 at a military test site in the U.S.A. In this test, the suitability for the detection of the route threat was assessed for five systems: a command-wire detector, two (2) nonlinear junction detectors, a polarized light camera and a hyper-spectral imager. The objective of the test of non-linear junction detectors was to assess commercially available NLJDs that had the potential to detect typical route threats at stand off. The assessment would take place outdoors at a test field to closer replicate the predicted operational environment in which the NLJDs would be used. The performance of the two available NLJDs would be compared against a range of typical route threats in field conditions.
