Analysis of turboprop aircraft aeroelastic response including effects of powerplant rotating mass
Original language description
Submitted paper is focused on aeroelastic response analysis of a turboprop aircraft structure including the aerodynamic and dynamic effects of rotating masses, such as a propeller or a gas turbine engine rotor. These effects are usually considered with respect to stability (whirl flutter). Nevertheless, the aeroelastic response of engines is influenced as well. Contrary to flutter, the key issue is not a structural integrity, but static strength or fatigue life of engine suspension as dynamic response generates dynamic loads.
