The objectives of the presented study were to find out the characteristics of humus horizons under 25-year-old beech and spruce mixed stands. Possible effect of thinning on investigated parameters of humus horizons was evaluated as well. Research was done on thinning experimental series Všeteč in the South Bohemia. In the framework of the presented research, two variants were selected to investigate humus and soil conditions: 1 (as Control ? unthinned) and 3 (as Thinned ? first thinning by negative selection from below). Non-uniform effect of thinning (by negative selection from below) on observed characteristics was found. Significant differences between variants were observed only: in horizon L for total N (in %) and plant-available Ca (as CaO in mg.kg-1) ? significant higher values on Control plot, in horizon F for total Ca (in %) and pH (KCl) ? significant higher values on Thinned plot, in horizon Ah for plant-available P (as P2O5 in mg.kg-1) ? significant higher value on Control p

Czech description

Cílem předkládané práce bylo charakterizovat humusové horizonty pod 25letým smíšeným porostem buku a smrku. Dále byl vyhodnocen vliv výchovy na sledované parametry humusových horizontů. Výzkum probíhal na experimentální sérii s výchovou Všeteč v jižníchČechách. Pro sledování uvedené problematiky byly vybrány dvě varianty: 1 (Kontrolní ? bez výchovy) a 3 (Vychovávaná ? první zásah negativním výběrem v podúrovni). Vliv výchovného zásahu byl nejednoznačný. Průkazné rozdíly mezi variantami byly zjištěny pouze: v horizontu L pro celkový N (v %) a dostupný Ca (jako CaO v mg.kg-1) ? průkazně vyšší hodnoty na kontrolní variantě, v horizontu F pro celkový Ca (v %) a pH (KCl) ? průkazně vyšší hodnoty na variantě s výchovou, v horizontu Ah pro dostupný P (jako P2O5 v mg.kg-1) ? průkazně vyšší na kontrolní variantě.
