Above-growth biomass of young stands of European beech growing in regeneration plots with different dimensions

  • Original language description

The conference paper presents the dimension and allocation of above-ground biomass of European beech 10-year-old plantations. Sample trees were selected from regeneration plots with different dimensions and light conditions - under spruce stand shelter, gap, small clear-cut, and middle one. Non-overtopped individuals were sampled and analysed. The plants growing under shelter and in gap had lower growth and mass of aboveground compartments than plants growing on clearcuts with better light environment.
