Original language description
The most prominent group of biotic agents in last years have been spruce bark beetles, especially Ips typographus. Mass outbreak stage of bark beetles occurred on nearly all sites of the country. The highest volume of spruce wood infested by bark beetles was recorded in northern Moravia and Silesia in 2018. Extreme deterioration occurred in the Vysočina Region and Jihočeský Region.
