Water Balance of the Constructed Wetlands ? A Study of the Macrophyte´s Evapotranspiration

  • Original language description

The paper presents the pieces of knowledge from the research of water management of the small constructed wetlands. It is focused on the research of the changes of flux of wastewater and on the evapotranspiration (ET) of the different type of macrophyticvegetation measured at the operating wetland used as a wastewater treatment plant and also on some wetland?s models. There are presented the results obtained at the wetlands located in the South Moravia region (lowland, quite warm climate) and in the Central Highland (colder and wetter climate). The wetlands are different size and there are grown Phragmites australis, Typha latifolia and Phalaris arundinacea. The ET from the free water level has been measured too. The relationship between ET, air and water temperatures and other climate characteristics were also analyzed.
