PCBs and PAHs restrain the use of sludge as a renewable resource
Original language description
The main objective of the research was to reduce the amount of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and polychlorinated biphenyls polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in samples of untreated sludge from the wastewater treatmentplant laboratory biodegradation laboratory biodegradation. Pure bacterial cultures used were of pure bacterial cultures Pseudomonas putida, Rhodococcus sp. and a mixture thereof in a ratio of 1: 1 have been Used. Laboratory experiment lasted 28 days andthe values obtained were compared with Decree no. 294/2005 Sb. The obtained results show that the biodegradation thus contaminated samples is possible. An elimination of more than 85% for PCB applications ? bacterial mixture and 95.86% of the original concentration of PAHs bacteria Rhodococcus sp.
