Not all very-low-carbohydrate diets are created equal. Reply to Conte C, Camajani E, Lai A, Caprio M [letter]
Original language description
The Diabetes and Nutrition Study Group’s dietary recommendations do not recommend following a very-low carbohydrate diet, based on the findings from observational data, indicating increased mortality when carbohydrate intake was <40% of total energy, in addition to the lack of benefits of these diets in studies with longer duration.
