Original language description
The present book is the third volume of a series of reports dedicated to the archaeological exploration of the ancient site of Wad Ben Naga, located in the River Nile State of the Republic of Sudan. The present report focuses on so-called Circular Building (WBN 50), but also other adjacent or nearby structures and archaeological contexts. It is divided into two parts and an appendix. The first part is dealing with the Circular Building itself, presenting its excavations and discussing its function. In the second part an adjacent complex of subsidiary buildings WBN 600 is dealt with in similar way. In the appendix, archaeological findings from the 1958/1959 excavations at Wad Ben Naga that cannot be attributed to a specific structure are published.
