Original language description

The article deals with a number of items from the estate of Marie Wachsmannová (1866-1943), preserved amongst which are, in particular, her autograph album and a few letters from Josef Suk (1874-1935). At the beginning of the 1890s, the pianist Marie Wachsmannová was briefly Suk&apos;s muse. The composer dedicated a few works to her. The aforementioned autograph album contains the manuscript of Lístek do památníku (Album Leaf) for piano two-hands from 1895 (JSkat 30). Besides Suk&apos;s signature, the album contains the signatures of more than fifty figures from Europe&apos;s music scene who visited the Wachsmann family salon or who performed at concerts of the Czech Chamber Music Society between its founding and the beginning of the First World War.
