Original language description

The article newly identifies two util now little known paintings from Czech collections as portraits of Francesco de´Medici (1541-1587), duke of Tuscany. The portraits are compared with other known likenesses of the duke, attention is paid to the role ofthose two paintings within the iconography of the portraits of Francesco de´Medici. On the base of the stylistic criteria of the paintings, and known archive sources, the authorship of the painting has been proposed.
