Original language description
The synthesis of ribosomal enhancer UBF accompanying the transition of a cell from quiescent to cycling state is independent of chromosomal DNA replication and ribosomal multicopy gene unwindig. This three-dimensional transformation of fibrilar centers however can be supported by phosphorylation of UBF bound at unmasked copies of rDNA.
