In paper the sedimentology of the Lower Devonian of Barrandian area is described with the focus on the Lochkovian ? Pragian boundary interval. This research has been carried out on three localities (Černá rokle near Kosoř, Homolka near Praha - Velká Chuchle, Cikánka near Praha ? Slivenec) in SW part of Prague. The section at Velká Chuchle is an international stratotype of the Lochkovian ? Pragian boundary and remaining two localities are its parastratotypes. This work deals in detail with the theory ofturbidity current deposition and so-called Lochkovian - Pragian boundary Event is described in terms of sequence stratigraphy. The character of this event is associated with turbidite regime and with the distribution of particular carbonate facies in theLower Devonian of the Barrandian area.

Práce se zabývá sedimentologií spodního devonu Barrandienu, a to hraničním intervalem stupňů lochkov a prag. Výzkum byl prováděn na třech lokalitách (Černá rokle u Kosoře, Homolka u Velké Chuchle, Cikánka u Prahy - Slivence) v jihozápadní části Prahy, přičemž profil ve Velké Chuchli je mezinárodním sratotypem této hranice a zbylé dva jsou jejími parastratotypy. Rozpracovaná je zde teorie turbiditní sedimentace a lochkovsko - pražský hraniční event je zde popsán sekvenčně ? stratigrafickou terminologií.Jeho projevy jsou dány do souvislosti s turbiditním režimem a s rozmístěním jednotlivých karbonátových facií ve spodním devonu Barrandienu.
