The peatbog sediments on the map sheet Srní (22-333) are the subject of palynological investigation and Quaternary-geological mapping. The organic sediments of the former lake Stará Jímka were analysed for pollen and algae. Several samples of the locality were radiocarbon dated (Radiocarbon Laboratory Gliwice, Poland). Results of pollen analysis are used for the reconstruction of vegetational evolution in the Bohemian/Bavarian Forest (Late Glacial and Holocene).

Czech description
Sedimenty rašelinišť na listu Srní (22-333) byly použity pro kvartérně-geologické mapování. Organické sedimenty bývalého jezera Stará jímka byly analyzovány pyloanalyticky a paleoalgologicky. Několik vzorků bylo radiokarbonově datováno (Radiokarbonová laboratoř Gliwice, Polsko). Výsledky pylové analýzy jsou používány pro rekonstrukci vývoje vegetace na Šumavě (pozdní glaciál a holocén).
