    The paper brings the results of palynological analyses of newly exposed section in the peat sediments and their correlation with the previous palaeobotanical studies. The main goal was to elucidate the stratigraphic position and paleogeographic development of fossil peatbogs and its environs. Quaternary organic sediments in the Protected Landscape Area Žďárské vrchy and Železné hory are represented by peat-bogs sediments. The organic sediments on the map sheets are and will be the subject of palynological investigation. The development of vegetation of peatbogs, as shown by the pollen analysis, can be preliminary classified mainly to the Holocene (Firbas 1949, 1952 ? modified stratigraphy by Břízová in Dreslerová et al. 2004, uncal. BP; modified stratigraphy by Mangerud ? Walanus & Nalepka 2010). Radiocarbon dating of the samples was performed with use of radiometric technique in the Gliwice Radiocarbon Laboratory (Poland).
