Original language description
New interactive tool FLOW2020 will help to mitigate debris flow hazard in the Kazbegi area. The first part of the FLOW2020 application is focused on visualisation of available spatial data and calculation of elemental morphological characteristics of the terrain which will help to assess hazards in the area during the field work. To develop the application we chose to use the Python programming language which is suitable for processing big data, data visualisation and offers usage of third-party libraries that extend the functionality. The tool is being built in the web-based interactive environment called the Jupyter Notebook, which appeared to be well manageable even for the new users.
