Original language description
The plots were established by using an experimental strip-seeding drill at the site Jevicko. The aim of the study was to determine the influence of strip-sown red clover ´Vesna´ and tall fescue ´Kora´ into grassland on production, quality and botanical composition of the sward. Strip-sown red clover contributed 3.47 t/ha or 36.5 % of the total yield (9.50 t/ha). Total DM yield in the grassland strip-sown with tall fescue was 10.00 t/ha, but tall fescue conly contributed with 16.60 % od the total DM production. Major requirements for successful growth of strip-sown species were determined and drills, type SPP6 and type SPP8 for strip seeding are made and used in agricultural companies in Czechia and Slovakia.
