Ten winter wheat varieties, mostly of Czech origin, with different degrees of resistance to Fusarium head blight (FHB), were inoculated with two isolates of Fusarium culmorum at two experimental sites for three years. On average pathogen caused reductions of grain number per spike, thousand grain weight and grain weight per spike were 24 %, 36 % and 51 %, respectively; average DON content was 30 mg/kg. The variance analyses revealed significant genotypic effects and relatively larger and significant effects of the isolate and conditions of year and experimental site on the characters measuring resistance/ tolerance to FHB and DON content. The varieties did not differ in their response to the isolate but the aggressiveness of isolates was different indifferent years. The varieties resistant or moderately resistant to the infection with Fusarium culmorum showed relatively lower DON content and stable reaction (b < 1). Výsledky vycházejí z pokusů s 10 odrůdami pšenice ozimé, převážně českého původu s odlišným stupněm rezistence, které byly infikovány 2 izoláty Fusarium culmorum na dvou stanovištích po dobu 3 let.Odrůdy se nelišily v reakci na izolát, ale agresivita izolátů se v jednotlivých letech lišila.Rezistentní a mírně rezistentní odrůdy vykazovaly nižší obsah DON a stabilní reakcina infekci. Pro predikci obsahu DON se jako vhodnější jeví užití znaků redukce hmotnosti 100 zrn a hmotnost 1000 zrn po infekci než symptomatické hodnocení.Vysoký obsah DON nebyl detekován při nízkém napadení, ale variabilita v obsahu DON byla u náchylných odrůd velmi vysoká.
